Overall Objectives of the Veterinary Technician at All Paws
1. To assist the veterinarians in all of their procedures so that they are able to most efficiently and effectively treat their patients.
2. To ensure exceptional monitoring and care for patients so that the quality of their care is above standard.
3. To handle the patient flow and to service clients so that they feel as comfortable as possible before, during, and after the treatment of their animals.
4. To facilitate veterinarians in every way possible so that their ability to evaluate and treat patients is maximized.
Some of the daily activities of our veterinary technicians include: facilitating patient exams, laboratory sample collection, performing in house lab work, monitoring for and assisting with dental treatments and surgical procedures, administering medications and treatments to hospitalized patients, producing quality radiographs, maintaining laboratory and surgical equipment, recording and updating patient records, filling pharmacy scripts, and communicating with clients.
Overall Objectives of the Customer Service Representative at All Paws:
1. To ensure that clients feel welcome and comfortable with and in our office by correctly servicing them (and their pets) from the first telephone contact, through their arrival and treatment while at the clinic to their departure from the clinic.
2. To correctly rout clients and patients to mantain a smooth and efficient flow within the clinic.
3. To facilitate veterinarians in every way possible so that their ability to evaluate and treat patients is maximized.
4. To optimize scheduling to accomodate the needs of both clients and staff.
Some of the daily activities of our customer service representatives are: greeting clients and pets, answering a multi line phone system, routing calls to the appropriate staff, scheduling appointments, checking clients out, maintaining a clean and presentable reception area, answering client inquires, updating patient records, and providing exceptional client service. This position is the hub of the clinic and requires a friendly, positive, multi tasking capable personality.
Overall objective of the Kennel Assistant at All Paws:
1. To provide a clean, healthy hospital environment for clients, patients and staff.
2. To maintain a well stocked hospital to ensure staff can perform their duties expediently and efficiently.
3. To facilitate staff in any way possible to achieve a smooth flow throughout the hospital.
4. To care for and comfort hospitalized patients.
Some of the daily activities of our kennel assistants are: providing care for hospitalized and boarding patients, general cleaning of entire hospital, preparing and sterilizing surgical equipment, assisting veterinary technicians with laboratory sample collection and set up, stocking hospital supplies and maintaining accurate computerized records about patients’ condition. In addition to the general duties the kennel personnel also assists all other staff members with any needed tasks. This is a multi faceted position which has the potential for advancement in the veterinary medical field if an individual so desires.
